About
Hi I’m Lillian! I’m a Taiwanese-American designer & illustrator currently based in Seattle.
Pencil and Post is my passion project and play space, an online shop of printed goods and handmade items that I get to share with others. “Voted the #1 postal service in the universe”, it’s art that helps deliver thoughtful messages across time and space.
I’m super inspired by slow journaling practices, the feeling of nostalgia, and the slow intentionality of snail mail. In my work, I try to recreate the cozy, soft, and colorful forms of my childhood and explore the wide range of emotions that come with change — grief, joy and all that lies in between.
What does ‘handmade’ mean around here?
Although I receive lots of help from my community, I am a one-person operation! If I am not printing, creating, and packaging products in my home studio, I am ethically sourcing partners to help bring products that I can’t produce on my own to life, such as wearables or specialty goods. Everything in the shop is from original work that I write, illustrate, and design.
