Mindful Minute Series
The Mindful Minute Series is my attempt at documenting what I learn about mindfulness, meditation, and self care.
When I first started meditating two years ago, I became curious about the psychological benefits behind a mindful lifestyle in everyday living and in communication. This series explores what I learn through my personal journey learning and researching about mental health and wellness. Volume 1 covers the different ways we can be mindful in our everyday lives and volume 1.5 (As a prelude to volume 2) covers different exercises in communication that we have with ourselves and with others.
Mindful Minute vol 1 walks through every-day activities in detail...
...and vol 1.5 is a one-pager that came about through my reading on communication. The exercises here are from 'The Art of Communication' by Thich Nhat Hanh.
Thich Nhat Hanh is Vietnamese monk and peace activist. He states that, "Loneliness is the suffering of our time. Even if we’re surrounded by others, we can feel very alone. We are lonely together." This book addresses these feelings as well as communication with other people. This small zine condenses the exercises that he offers into a small six page zine.
