Rice is Ready Risograph Print

A risograph printed piece of a hand holding a small, tiny Tatung rice cooker and steamer. This 大同電鍋 is a classic Taiwanese household fixture. The billowing steam in this illustration is meant to evoke the comforting sound of steam rattling a lid and the delicious smell of homemade food. 

Risograph printing is an low-energy, eco-friendly and non-toxic form of printing, with inks made from soy or rice bran oil and printing stencils made from plant fiber. Its inks are vibrant and colorful and each print is unique in nature due to a process similar to screen printing, where colors are layered on top of each other.
